Google Account Will Be Required starting January 11, 2016 To Follow Google Blogger

Hello friends.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  I know the weather has been really strange all over US for the past few weeks.  We had frost on our car windows this morning.  I don't remember weather this cold in Southern CA.  New York had temperatures in the 60's for Christmas day.  I always remember Christmas in New York with lots of snow and cold!  Now there is flooding in several states.  Please stay safe during this holiday season.

Here is an announcement from Blogger; with changes that could affect anyone who does not have a Google account.  Apparently, starting the week of Jan. 11; everyone will be required to have a Google account to follow blogs.  Please read message below.  It is an easy fix; but does require everyone to have a google account.

Posted: December 21, 2015

In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other Open Id providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

I am sorry if this causes any of my followers issues; but I hope you will be willing to create a Google account; so that you can continue to follow anyone who has a blog with blogger.  You will need to create a Google account and become a follower again; as they will remove all the followers who do not have Google accounts.

I appreciate all of my followers and hope to see all of you still on my followers list next year.

Thank you for taking time to read this information.

Have a Wonderful and Blessed 2016!
Happy New Year!

Art By Miran Santa's Helper for Art By Miran DT Call

Hello friends.  Is everyone ready for the holidays?  I have had my Christmas tree in the stand for a week; but no time to decorate it yet.  LOL!  We were away for Thanksgiving; so Christmas snuck up on me this year.  I have heard that several areas have snow now.  We actually had rain on Saturday in Southern CA and a little thunder.  It was awesome!  We could use a lot more rain.

I am creating this post for the Art By Miran DT call.  I am a stay at home wife; mother and grandmother (My kids are all grown up now).  I love creating cards, being part of a DT and I love to comment and provide encouragement to crafters on their blogs.  I own most of Art by Miran digis and try to buy all the new ones; plus I own most of her rubber stamps from Whimsy.  I have loved her digis from the very first card that I saw on a challenge a few years ago.  It is such a pleasure to use Art By Miran images.  She is so talented and her images bring lots of joy to those who use them; as well as those who receive them.

I would love to be a part of this fabulous group of designers; and feel I know most of them already.  I have been on several DT in the past; and have enjoyed every one of them.  It would be such an honor to be part of the Art By Miran DT.  I have added several of my Art By Miran Cards for your consideration of the DT position.  See below.

I created this card using Art By Miran Santa's Helper.  The pictures do not do it justice; as it is gorgeous in person; with lots of sparkle and shine.  I used two of the free digital papers, "Winter Frost"; which was created by Tracy Wray; who is part of the DT for Art By Miran.  I changed the color of her paper to purple on Microsoft Word; because I wanted to use my favorite colors; which are purple and yellow together.  I used a little blue; because I needed one more color.  I used Stampendeous Fran-tage Shabby White Embossing Enamel for the first time on this card.  It was really messy; but so much fun to create snow!  I can't have the real thing; so I decided to create it on my card.

I hope you enjoy this card and the ones added below.  I added a few cards for the DT Call; which I created in the past year using Art By Miran images. Click the names below the cards to purchase these images; and the link to my post is below the name of the image; if you would like more information.

I also own this one in a rubber stamp.

Christmas card Using The Paper Shelter "Yep I have My Methods" (Santa)

Hello friends.  How is everyone doing?  I thought I was finished with creating Christmas cards this year; but I have bought so many new ones; that I really wanted to use some of them.  I love Christmas; and need to create more cards for next year; so I am going to get a head start on them.  I didn't have time to create all the ones I needed this year; and actually had to send store bought cards to some of my relatives.  I hate doing that; but I don't think they really care one way or another.

I created this card using The Paper Shelter "Yep, I Have My Methods:" (Santa).  I thought it was so cute when I bought it; and haven't had time to use it.  I used the precolored version; but you can always add fun embellishments to make it your own.  I love The Paper Shelter digis and own a lot of them.  I just don't have enough time to use all the digis that I buy. I hope you enjoy this card.

Christmas Card Using The Paper Shelter "Holy Night" Digi and CTMH Believe In Christmas Stamp Set

Hello friends.  How is everyone?  We are back to sunshine again today; in Sunny California. It always makes me feel better to see sunshine in the morning instead of clouds.  LOL!

I decided at the last minute to create Christmas cards for my club members; which is the first year I have tried to do this.  I should have decided it earlier in the year; so I wouldn't have to be rushed at the last minute.  Oh well; I think I am almost finished.  Hopefully they will reach all of them before Christmas.

I bought this image last year; but not sure if I ever used it.  I couldn't find it in my posts; so maybe I haven't used it yet.  I love it!  The Paper Shelter "Holy Night" digi set comes with a combination of options; so I used the precolored version with the background for the front and the background alone for the inside of my card.  I stamped all the sentiments; plus Santa and reindeer from CTMH Believe In Christmas - D1666. I created one card with the CTMH Cranberry cardstock border and one without.  I like the one with the cranberry border better than the one without.  Click here for the link to purchase CTMH Believe In Christmas stamp set before it retires Dec. 31, 2015.
