Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop - Father's Day Card

Hello to all you bloggers! I hope you are having a fantastic day!! Welcome to the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop. We are a group of Close To My Heart Consultants and will be showcasing the very versatile CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (AP Cart).  I hope you enjoy your time here and spread the word to others as well.

If you are visiting from Eva's blog then you are in the right place. If not, please start from the beginning with Courtney's blog. See the complete list of blogs after the pictures of the card - further down the page. Please leave a comment on these blogs if you have time as everyone loves compliments on their blogs. Enjoy our blog hop!!

I used a card base created from the AP Cricut Cartridge.  This cartridge has 100 card bases with a total of 700 images including beautiful 3D flowers.  This is the most versatile cartridge I have ever seen and it is so much fun to create with it.

I used the Dotty For You paper packet as it has a lot of variety and choices for both men and women. This paper is only available through May 31, 2012. You can purchase it for $5 with a $35 purchase. Make your selection for the $35 first and the specials will display below your order. Be sure and click on "add to cart". The May stamp of the month is available with a $50 purchase; so you can get both with a $50 purchase.

The sentiment is from "1000 Card Quotes"; which has a variety of choices when you don't have a stamp with the correct sentiment.  I don't have a stamp with Father's Day on it as my father is no longer living.  I created this for my husband.

The second part of the sentiment was created on my computer and printed on card stock from "The Paper Company" because I wanted a textured paper for this one.

Cricut Art Philosophy Virtual Card Club

How would you like to make your own greeting cards each month with everything supplied to you, pieces already cut, embellishments included, ribbon or flax if used; everything ready to put together with detailed instructions? And build your stamp collection in the process!!

You can use your own adhesive, glue, ink, ruler, scissors, embossing inks and powders or anything else you might want to use. I will be offering a starter kit for those who need the basic items.
I am very excited about starting a virual card club in July.    I will be creating 4 cards each month using CTMH stamp sets for a 6 month program. My current plan is to use 4 - A stamp sets - $6.95; 1 - B set - $9.95; and 1 C set - $13.95. I want to give you variety; but keep the cost affordable.

If we start in June or July; the stamp sets I am planning to use from the current Idea book are: A Tree (pg 73), A BowWow (pg 83), Just For You (pg 18) which can be used with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and Card Word Puzzle (pg 23). I will choose two A stamp sets from the Autumn/Winter Idea Book; which will be released in August 2012. You may choose a different stamp set of same value or pay the difference if you choose a higher priced stamp during any of the six months of the program.

Card Word Puzzle - One example of possible stamp set

My plan is to use the Cricut AP cartridge to cut at least one card each month (100 cards available) as one of your 4 cards. I will give you a variety of cards as well as new card techniques each month.   I want this to be fun for all of us.

If we wait until August - the new Autumn/Winter Idea book will be out; which means more new stamp sets to choose from.   Depending on your preference; we can use more expensive stamp sets if you are willing to pay the difference each month.

Email me at purpleglocreations@socal.rr.com if you are interested in joining my card club or would like more information. I will email you the form to complete to join the club.

The total cost is $26 a month. I have spread the extra stamp charges over the 6 months so you can get the variety of stamp sets. This includes one acrylic stamp set each month as listed above; all the products for each of the 4 cards, tax with shipping and handling.

The following are extras and not required for the monthly Cricut Art Philosophy Card Club.

If you want to purchase a starter kit - this is optional for the people who don't have any supplies.

Starter kit:
Acrylic block - Size 3 x 3 - $8.50
Tombow Adhesive - $8.95
Black ink or brown exclusive ink or any other color - $5.25 (Your preference)
My Acrylic Spritz Cleaner - $4.25 (To clean your stamps properly)
____________________________________________________________
Total 26.95 plus tax - $2.36 (depends  on zip code) and shipping - $4.95 (From CTMH) = $34.26

Other items you might like to have on hand.

Liquid Glass - $6.95 (Great for 3D flowers)
Brown exclusive ink or other ink colors - $5.25
Piercing Tool Kit - $5.95

Mojo Monday - Friend Card using Dotty For You Paper

Hi all you wonderful bloggers out there!! I felt creative yesterday; so I created a friend a card.  I had purchased a retired stamp set from another consultant and wanted to use it.  I am in love with this stamp set.  This is the first card I have created in a long time without using my Cricut.  I didn't realize I could still do that.  Ha!!  This one was an easy one with Mojo Monday.  I love their sketches.

I didn't get enough ink on my stamp; but I didn't have time to do it over.  I love CTMH stamps; because the words are so clear even without the proper amount of ink.  The butterfly is supposed to be different shades; but I may not have gotten enough ink on it either.  I did the best I could with the short amount of time I had to create it.

Click on pictures for closer view.

Mojo Monday Sketch with Dotty For You Paper Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi fellow crafters!! I hope you are having a wonderful day today.  I decided to create a feminine card today using the Mojo Monday Sketch.  I love their sketches and they make creating so much easier.

This is your last chance to purchase Dotty For You paper packet for only $5 with a purchase of $35.  It includes many great colors and designs that can be used for many different cards and projects.  It is cardstock weight; so it is a fabulous buy!!  This special ends May 31 and you won't be able to purchase this product after that date.  Get yours now!!  Enter your $35 in products from the Spring/Summer Idea Book and the specials will display at the bottom of the page.  Click "add to cart".  The May stamp of the month will also display for $5 if you order $50.  Don't forget to Click  "add to cart".

Here is my creation for Mojo Monday 241.  I hope you enjoy it.  I used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to create all the images including the flowers and the leaves.  I have never had so much fun with a Cricut Cartridge as I do with this one.  I find new things every time I use it.  You can be very creative in using this cartridge for so many of your crafts including your scrapbooking and card making.

I used the Dotty For You to meet the challenge of Heart 2 Heart; which was for polka dots and stripes.  I love these colors and they are great together.  This card looks so much more elegant in person.  I tried to capture it on camera; but it doesn't do it justice.  This is the close up of the flowers and the sentiment.  I love these little flowers on the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  They are even prettier in person.

Mojo Monday and Ruby's Rainbow Sketch - Birthday Card using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi all you wonderful bloggers out there!  I have been sick for two weeks and still not feeling much better.  I had the urge to create something; so I won't forget how.  Ha!!   I hope all of you are having a wonderful day!!  It is another beautiful day in Southern CA.  I wish I could get out and enjoy it; but I am sure I will feel better soon.

I purchased some retired CTMH patterned card stock and decided to use it to create a birthday card for one of my granddaughters.  I rarely use red; because my favorite colors are in the purple and pink family.  I decided to do something different this time.

I created this card following the sketch from Mojo Monday and Ruby's Rainbow.   You'll have to excuse my bow as I am still struggling to learn to tie one.  I had a little challenge with getting the Happy Birthday straight; but I did the best I could at the time.  I didn't have the energy to start over; so please excuse my imperfections.

I created this card using retired patterned card stock from CTMH which features the colors of: Bamboo, Cranberry, Desert Sand and Ponderosa Pine.  I love the flowers and the stripes.  I used CTMH card stock to match the colors in the patterned card stock.  Here is my close up of the flower. Sometimes it doesn't seem necessary to do a close up; but I have people asking for them when I don't.

This flower was created with two of the same patterned paper and one plain card stock.  I had a challenge trying to find a pattern that would go with the colors in the card; so I used what I could find for the flower.  Click on the pictures to see a closer look.

Mojo Monday - Mother's Day Cards using Cricut Art Philosophy

Hello everyone.  I hope everyone is having a fantastic day.  I have been sick for several days; so this is my first attempt to create something even though I should be in bed.  I really felt the need to create today so I created Mother's Day Cards for my daughter and two daughter-in-laws.  I created two of the three so far.

I decided to do the Mojo Monday challenge; which was to create a square or circle card or both.  I have never created either so I created both of them.  It was fun; but challenging.  It is much easier making a rectangular card or using a base that is already made.  This gave me a chance to try out some of the great cards on the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

There are 100 cards on this cartridge and I have only created 3 so far.  I wish I had purchased this cartridge before purchasing any others and it would have saved me a lot of money; but I wasn't aware it existed until February.  This cartridge is the best purchase I have ever made for my Cricut.  I haven't used the other cartridges since I discovered what I can do with this one.  I am sure I will use them sometime in the future; but I am having so much fun discovering the AP cart that I haven't needed the other ones.  I am also using this cartridge for my scrapbooking projects as well.

I don't have any Mother Day stamps so I had to use the AP cartridge to make the letters. Everything on this card was created with the AP cartridge.  I joined CTMH because I fell in love with this cartridge and the stamp sets that are part of this collection.  My goal is to tell as many people as I can so they can enjoy it too.

Here are my creations for Mojo Monday Challenge 239.

Mojo Monday Sketch

I didn't really make a true circle; but it is a version of a round card.  It has a little different edging than the Mojo Monday card does and I placed my bow in a different place on the round one.  I didn't use a bow on the square one as it didn't look right.

I love all shades of purple and teal. This is actually the colors of CTMH Gypsy and Lagoon.  The photo doesn't show the exact color; but hopefully you can see the beauty of this paper.  This paper is actually a CTMH close out titled "Hooligans" - 12 - 12 x 12 pages of double sided patterned paper and 10 pages of card stock.  You can find it right now on my CTMH website for only $3.00 while supplies last. - Click hereFor all clearance products - Click Here while supplies last.

I just received this paper packet a few days ago and I love it.  Both cards were created with this packet including the black for the card base.  Other colors in this packet are Pear (green) and Sunset (orange) with both patterned paper and card stock to match.

CTMH is the first paper and cardstock I have found that doesn't leave residue on my Cricut mat when cutting images.  I am very impressed with their high quality of products.  They are the best products I have found on the market so far and I would feel that way even if I didn't currently sell them.  These pages cut very nicely when cutting 1/2 inch letters as I have created here.  I haven't been able to do that in the past with the papers I have purchased.  I love this butterfly ribbon I found several months ago at Michaels.  It is the first time I have used it.

Close up of butterflies and ribbon.

Supplies used to create these two cards:

Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge for all the images on these two cards.

Both of the card bases were cut at 5 inches using AP card feature.
Paper and Cardstock - CTMH Hooligans 12 x 12 paper packet (Close out - Click here)
Butterfly striped ribbon - Craftsmart - found at Michaels several months ago
Lagoon ribbon - Offray from Joann's
Bling Baby Pearls - CTMH Bitty Opaques pearls
3D foam - Tombow USA
Adhesive - Tombow Glue pen to glue all the tiny letters and Tombo Mono Adhesive

I am entering these two cards in the following challenges:
